At DMD we understand the importance of customer service! That is why all of our products are available for engineered delivery service throughout the whole of the UK!
Let our fully trained mobility engineers and advisors make delivery of your product as easy as possible with a full demonstration, test drive and product assembly. We can even take away your old products for you!
Once you have placed an order with a member of the DMD team, the product will be quality checked by our warehouse team and then collected from the DMD Warehouse for our engineers to demonstrate to the product to you.
Your new purchase will be delivered to your home at a pre-arranged time that suits you. We understand the importance of your purchase and that is why we aim to delivery your new product within 3 – 5 working days!
The engineered delivery service covers everything you need to know about your product, from how to charge the batteries to being shown how dismantle and re assemble the product.
Please see below an example of the DMD Mobility Scooter & Powerchair Hand Over Certificate:
The following items must be demonstrated & explained to the client.
- I have received the “owners manual” and its contents have been explained to my satisfaction.
- I have had the battery charging procedure explained, I understand that I must charge the battery for 8 to 12 hours after each use, the must be removed. (if applicable). I will leave the battery on charge for 24 hours before intial use.
- I can use the forward and reverse throttle control
- I can operate the key ignition, Lights hazard lights, indicators and horn. (where applicable)
- I can adjust the speed (8mph EPV must be set at 4mph max use on pavements (where applicable)
- I can brake safely using the automatic braking system (including handbrake on 8mph models) (where applicable)
- I have been shown how to dismantle the product and re-assemble
- I can use the free wheel mechanism (where applicable)
- I have had the seat adjusted so that I’m comfortable (where applicable)
- I have been shown how to operate the product safely. I understand I can refer to the owners manual for further advice and information on safety, operation and maintenance.
- I acknowledge that the product has been received in good condition & working order.
We perform a pre-delivery check on all mobility scooters and powerchairs before despatch.
We take our customer satisfaction very seriously at Discount Mobility Direct, before we deliver your mobility scooter or powerchair your product will be checked by one of our staff to ensure it is not faulty and then returned to its box to be resealed with our DMD tape.
When your product is delivered, if there is anything about your new mobility scooter, powerchair, adjustable bed or recliner chair that hasn’t been covered by our engineers, please feel free to ask your engineer and they will make sure you are completely comfortable with your new mobility product!
